Robert Addis, president of the Cookshire Agricultural
Fair, invites the public of the Haut-Saint-François and surrounding areas to
come participate in the fair on August 14 to 17.
The event is at the Cookshire
Fairgrounds, situated on Route 108, just west of Cookshire. This 169th
edition will respect the primary vocation of the fair, while also offering
visitors recreational opportunities.
At the heart of the
event will be judging animals and presenting agricultural tools, horticultural
produce, culinary creations and handicrafts, as well as amusement. You can
count on tractor pulls on Friday and Saturday evening, and draft horse hitches
on Sunday for the closing of the activities. Anne-Lune will present the great
Enviro-fruit game for children. And there's something new this year for small
children - the chance to touch and caress small animals. They will be waiting
in a specially arranged small park. The organizers will be there to answer
children's questions and ensure everyone's safety.
The Schedule
During the entire
length of the Cookshire Fair, workshops and shows will be offered on various
topics. Thursday, August 14, the site's doors will open to visitors at 4 p.m.
